The first method may seem simple enough, but the Boughbury Trader is actually a secret vendor. He’ll only appear if you complete a specific FATE Chain in the South Shroud. There are three FATEs in the Chain, all of which are Level 32: 1 . Breaching the Hive (South Shroud – Upper Paths – Redbelly Hive, X:22 Y:18) Description: Infiltrate the Redbelly Hive by defeating the gatewatches and opening the gates. You’ll be assisted by the Woodwailer Lancers. 2. Clearing the Hive (South Shroud – Upper Paths – Redbelly Hive, X:22 Y:18) Description: Make haste to the heart of Redbelly Hive and defeat the Bandit Leader. Your target is Severaint Seven Splinter, and his pet Adamantoise Shredder. 3. Keeping the Hive (South Shroud – Upper Paths – Redbelly Hive, X:22 Y:18) Description: Join forces with the Wood Wailers to defend Redbelly Hive from the bandits who seek to reclaim it. Once you’ve eliminated the bandits and reclaimed the Redbelly Hive, the Boughbury Trader will appear. You’ll also unlock the combat Achievement called “Boughbury Burning” which rewards you with 10 Achievement Points. Those you can turn in to Jonathas (Old Gridania – Apkallu Falls, X:11 Y:6) for Certificates. The Certificates are used to purchase rewards like Minions or Mounts from him.
Method 2: Material Containers 3.0
Your second option is a bit more RNG dependent, but it’s handy if you don’t want to spend time doing low-level FATEs. Material Coffer 3.0 can contain any Minion (and some rare mounts) from both Heavensward and A Realm Reborn. This includes not only your Baby Raptor Minion, but also exceedingly rare Mounts like the Night Pegasus or Zu. Certainly a good investment of your Grand Company Seals. Even if you don’t get your Baby Raptor right away, you’re sure to get a great consolation prize. But all in all, it’s pretty simple to pick this Minion up! You’ll be hanging out with your very own miniature dinosaur in no time.
